Karen from My Chic Bump

Tuesday, January 15, 2013

Hello ladies! Karen here. Mrs. to the most incredible, caring man, mommy to two dreamy little girls, and founder of MyChicBump.com a styling blog for all mommies and mommies-to-be.

A little bit about myself ... My husband and I have been married for almost 4 years (we'll be celebrating our anniversary next week! Woohoo!). I like to tease him and tell everybody I married my Facebook stalker, which is not very far from the truth. Haha! We have a beautiful, very energetic 2-year-old with the longest eyelashes you have ever seen (sadly, she gets it from her daddy and not me). Just last month, we welcomed another baby girl into our family and are very much enjoying being parents of two. I love spending my time writing stories, reading, watching over my husband’s shoulders as he cooks away in the kitchen pretending to take notes hehe but really I’m just there to steal a taste. I love pretending I know a thing or two about décor and DIY projects but what I love the most is being a wife and a mother. There is nothing more rewarding nor more enjoyable than spending time with my family and building everlasting memories with them.

At MyChicBump, women can find flattering tips and tricks I've learned while carrying my own baby bump and I'm happy to announce that I'll be expanding the blog to include fitness, beauty and kids' fashion. To learn more on how we will be transitioning from bump to baby, visit us here.

While I was still pregnant, one of my favorite outfits to wear was this long striped tunic from H&M. Elongating your torso is a great way to balance your temporary increase in width. Add a belt to create a distinction between your bust and your belly, highlighting your best assets. I paired it with black leather leggings for a little extra flare. If leather is not you're thing, there are plenty of equally great-looking black leggings at any budget.

Cardigan - H&M (old)
Leather Leggings - Papaya Clothing
Black Wedges - Forever21

  1. Wow! I have tried and tried to find a pair of leather-looking leggings and I just can NOT pull them off. I'm more than impressed that she is rocking hers! And the bump is...well, adorable!
